ALAN

I am a retired Agricultural Education Instructor of 27 years and most of those were spent sharpening blades for my FFA chapter and community members. After retirement, I decided to begin this business and not let my experience go to waste. I was chosen for many distinguished honors such as Cushing Public School’s Teacher of the Year, Oklahoma Career Tech Teacher of the Year as well as the Regional Career Tech Teacher of the Year. In 2010 I was selected as the National FFA Agriscience Teacher of the Year. Upon retirement in 2013 I took a position in the Oil and Gas Industry, but recently quit that job to focus entirely on Shear Genius Clipper Blade Sharpening.

FAMILY

Melonie and I have been married for 30 years  and we have raised three great and wonderful girls in the agriculture program showing and producing dairy cattle, sheep and pigs. All three received the State and American FFA Degrees and competed on the National FFA level in various competitions. Robyn is an accounting clerk, Ashlea is a para-legal, and Emily is a Landscape Designer. Melonie is a Nationally Certified Registered Nurse at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, on the front lines of infectious diseases.

SHEEP

In addition to the business, I have a small flock of club lamb type ewes and market them to area FFA and 4H members at a low cost. I have various bloodlines from some of the best breeders in the country including Skidgel, Ott, Nathan, Rule, Stillwell, Dee Brothers and Scott Alexander.
