To run my business I must have sharp blades. Especially when I’m hired to fit cattle at a show, cutting glue is no joke in south Florida. For the most part it tends to stay half gooey due to the heat from the calf and just how hot Florida has been this year. I have clipped double the amount I did last year so far and I still have 3 blades I haven’t even broke out yet. Alan please never stop sharpening! I won’t be able to find another as good as you.

I wanted to give a shout out to Alan Smith and SHEAR Genius for their amazing customer service! I sent 7 blades to be sharpened and they (as usual) came back VERY fast. One set was still a little dull – not only did Alan want me to send them back for him to check on and fix for free but he sent me another set of blades for my trouble!! I realize that sometimes things happen (and Alan is so great that it’s almost shocking he even missed something) but he righted it quickly. You cannot find a better guy or a better blade sharpener! He also donated blade sharpening to our “Friends of the Fair” sale that benefited the NC State Fair youth livestock shows. I really urge you to send your blades to him because I promise you they will be sharp and back to you in now time!! Thank you Alan for being awesome!
